Z Premium Refrigeration Oil (Lube Oil-68) are fully synthetic lubricants, designed for use in refrigeration compressors and heat pumps. They are formulated from polyalphaolefin (PAO) fluids, which have outstanding resistance to thermal/oxidative degradation. Their naturally high shear stable viscosity index and low temperature fluidity, make them perform in severe service conditions that are beyond the capabilities of conventional mineral oils. Z Premium Refrigeration Oil (Lube Oil-68) is a highly refined naphthenic oil formulated for use in refrigeration compressor systems utilizing ammonia, CFC (chlorofluorocarbon) and HCFC (hydrochlorofluorocarbon) refrigerants such as R-717, R-11, R-12, R-13, R-113, R-114, R-115, R-22, R-123, R-141b, R-142b, R-500, R-501 and R-502. Z Premium Refrigeration Oil (Lube Oil-68) is essentially wax-free as shown by its low pour point and floc temperature. It will not “wax-out” under low temperature conditions typically encountered in most systems. Equipment lines, evaporator, expansion valve and refrigerant control devices stay clean allowing for maximum system efficiency.Z Premium Refrigeration Oil (Lube Oil-68) is also chemically and thermally stable which minimizes the formation of harmful varnish, gum and sludge deposits. Z Premium Refrigeration Oil (Lube Oil-68) is not recommended for use with (HFC) (hydroflurocarbon) refrigerants such as HFC-134a (R-134a). Distinctions between the different types are not always observed in technical literature. CFC, HCFC, or HFC are sometimes referred to as CFC or Freon in reference to all three molecular types. Therefore, an investigation as to which refrigerant is being used is necessary. Z Premium Refrigeration Oil (Lube Oil-68) meets both Carrier and Trane specifications for use in their refrigeration compressors. Oil Life Z Premium Refrigeration Oil range has excellent high temperature and oxidation stability providing long service life even where high compressor discharge temperatures are found. System Efficiency Z Premium Refrigeration Oil range has high solvency and is designed to maintain refrigerant cleanliness and efficiency. They are specifically recommended for the lubrication of refrigeration compressors operating at very high temperatures, and for systems with very low evaporator temperatures. They are suitable for compressor systems using refrigerants such as ammonia, carbon dioxide and HCFCs such as R-22; and CFC R-12. They are compatible with all refrigerants except sulphur dioxide. They are compatible with Mineral oils.
